1. Information We Process
SevWood does not require user registration.
Calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser. SevWood does not intentionally collect or store these inputs on its servers.
Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, may process technical data, including IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, timestamps, and security-related information, to deliver and protect the website.
If you contact us, we may process the information you provide to respond to your request.
2. Advertising and Cookies
SevWood plans to use Google AdSense for advertising.
When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies and other technologies to serve advertisements based on your visits to SevWood and other websites.
Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to deliver and measure advertisements, including personalized advertising where permitted.
You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.
Learn more about how Google uses information from partner websites.
Where legally required, consent for advertising technologies will be requested through a consent management platform, with options to manage or withdraw consent.
Optional Google Analytics 4
With your explicit analytics consent, SevWood uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google, to understand visits, traffic sources and how useful our calculators and related content are. Analytics is separate from Google advertising preferences. Accepting advertising, or a consent platform becoming ready, does not enable analytics.
Analytics is off by default. Before acceptance we do not load GA4, set analytics cookies or send GA4 requests, including cookieless pings. You may choose Accept analytics or Reject analytics and change your choice at any time through Analytics preferences in the footer. Rejecting after acceptance withdraws consent, stops new analytics events, removes our analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded Google code; current calculator inputs reset. Requests already sent cannot be recalled, and withdrawal does not automatically delete historical data held by Google. You can contact us about applicable deletion rights.
Our analytics preference is stored locally in your browser for up to 180 days. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice applies to the current page only. After acceptance, GA4 may use first-party cookies named swga_ga and swga_ga_BD5PQNZCMS (or other swga_ cookies belonging to this integration) to distinguish browsers and sessions. We configure these cookies to expire after up to one year without extending that expiry on each visit. Google may apply shorter lifetimes. These are analytics identifiers generated by Google; SevWood does not assign a separate user ID.
Analytics data includes visited canonical pages, referring website, traffic source, browser/device category, approximate country, sessions, engagement and fixed categories of calculator interactions, successful calculations, input errors, successful copy/share actions and contextual internal navigation. Google receives network information such as your IP address to deliver its service and derive approximate location; GA4 states that it does not log or store individual IP addresses. We do not send calculator field values, dimensions, calculation results, clipboard contents, names, email addresses or page URL query strings/fragments in our configured page data or custom events. Only fixed, reviewed nonpersonal source, medium and campaign labels may be derived from UTM parameters and sent separately after analytics consent; arbitrary query values are discarded. Contextual navigation records only the destination page from our fixed list of public tool and reference routes. Google Signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled in this integration.
See Google Analytics data practices and Google Privacy Policy. Google's automatic outbound-link and file-download measurement is enabled in the GA4 property; it may record linked destinations and file metadata after consent. We do not add duplicate custom events for those actions.
3. Purposes and Legal Basis
Technical information may be processed to operate, maintain, and secure the website based on legitimate interests where applicable.
Contact information is used to respond to inquiries.
Advertising-related processing will rely on consent where legally required or another applicable lawful basis.
Analytics processing relies on your consent and helps us improve content, calculator usability and future advertising performance. Refusal does not restrict access to the website.
4. Data Sharing and Retention
Technical information may be processed by Cloudflare. When advertising is enabled, Google and relevant advertising partners may also process information.
Data may be processed internationally, subject to applicable legal requirements and safeguards.
Information is retained as necessary for the relevant purposes and legal obligations. Third-party service providers may apply their own data retention policies.
With analytics consent, Google also processes analytics data as our analytics provider, including potential international processing subject to applicable safeguards. Our intended GA4 user-level and event-level retention setting is 14 months, subject to the account owner applying and verifying that setting; it does not limit Google's standard aggregated reports in the same way. Google and Cloudflare apply their respective service retention policies. Cloudflare traffic analytics remains independent of optional GA4, so totals may differ.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, request data portability, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
Contact [email protected] to exercise applicable rights or ask privacy-related questions.
6. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the website, services, or legal requirements. Updates will be published on this page.
